Pathfinder Trust is responsible for the development and management of Pathfinder Learning Centres across North Devon. The centres have proved massively successful in training many hundreds of people in a variety of computer based skills, and they are internationally known as leading exponents of open access training provision across rural areas. The centres provide a base for many other community learning opportunities and as community information and Internet access points for job searching, running various projects for the unemployed in conjunction with Jobcentre Plus, A4E, Devon Works, Westward Training, etc. The Centres are; the Pathfinder Learning Centre in Ilfracombe, Pathfinder Vivian Moon Learning Centre in Braunton, Pathfinder Thomas Fowler Centre in Torrington, Pathfinder Learning Centre in Barnstaple, Lyn Valley Pathfinder in Lynton, Pathfinder@Westward Ho! and The Pathfinder Ockment Centre in Okehampton. It also raises funding for the development and implementation of new projects in Devon as well as participating with other centres and networks, throughout the South West, to promote and broaden community use of the latest technologies. |
