| The Ockment Centre has been running for several years offering a range of open distance learning in a variety of subjects. Now under the management of Pathfinder Trust It will continue to provide a vital service in the heart of the community.
The Centre has 11 computers with connections to the Internet providing access to Information Technology services and facilities for the whole community. There is training available in a variety of courses that can lead to recognised qualifications such as the ECDL Extra. Courses can be started at any time with the student booking time to suit themselves. Our courses are flexible and you can take them at your own pace, agreeing a course completion time with your tutor. If you have a problem there is always a tutor available to help, though you may have to be patient if the centre is busy. See 'Training' for further information on our full range of courses.
We also provide Internet access at £2
per hour (minimum 15 minutes). |
| Pathfinder is committed to Equality and Diversity, to view our full policy click here. We also do not discriminate against any person with a disability. In the case of clients with disabilities we will make every effort to accommodate these clients wherever possible. We have full wheelchair access and various computer aids can be arranged, such as a over size monitors and keyboards, trackball mice, adjustable work stations, etc. |
