Choices is a service offered as part of the Pathways Scheme, introduced in December 2007, to provide support for those people on Incapacity Benefit and the new Employment Support Allowance in their efforts to look for appropriate work.

We can offer a range of services within ‘Choices’ including;

Internet training for job hunting including access to Pathfinders on-line resources.

E-mail set-up and support in completing on-line application forms.

Identifying skills and interests using ‘Adult Directions’, and careers guidance.

Local labour market information.

CV preparation and writing.

Help with completing application forms, letters of application and speculative letters.

Interview preparation.

Numeracy and Literacy certification up to Level 2 (GCSE grade C equivalent).

Up to 52 weeks of in work support.

Volunteer placements via partner organisations.

NVQs in Customer Service or Business Administration.

Referrals to independent Occupational Therapists.

There may be other training available dependent on circumstances.
